Durham
chalked up their second victory of the season against
Saltburn. Although the home team had noticeably improved
since the fixture earlier in the season Durham still won
with an impressive performance.
Captain Dionne Martens,
Julie Campbell, Claire Robson, Leanne Gressman* and Beth
Simpson all were unavailable. However, Sharon Brady returned
and was put straight into the team at the center of defence.
Richardson - 5 goals and MOM
|
Helen Richardson and Magda
Carr continued their excellent starts to the season with a
superb performance up front. Notably, Maxine Bell also put
in a strong performance setting up a number of goals and
scoring one from the left hand side of midfield. City's
other goals came from Hilary Davies and Amanda Smith.
Gressman - sore leg
|
Durham play South Tyneside
at home next Sunday at 2pm. This should be a great game if
the pre-season friendly was anything to go by. Durham were
victors that time, winning 3-2.
* The club refused to
confirm that Leanne Gressman's leg injury was due to her
falling off a table in a nightclub in Newcastle on Friday
night.
