Durham
turned in their most impressive performance to date as they
put six past an experienced South Tyneside team.
Defender Claire Robson and
Midfielder Julie Campbell came back into the team. Captain
Dionne Martens was rested due to a slight injury.

It
was Magda Carr who impressed early on as she scored
two first half goals. Top scorer Helen Richardson
also contributed when she notched after being put clean
through. Gemma Charlton finished off the half with a
goal of the highest quality beating the vistors keeper from
30 yards.
The second half continued
in a similar manner to the first. Magda Carr completed
a deserved hat-trick with a well executed trip. Gemma
Charlton then stole the MOM off Carr by scoring a
wonderful free kick to wrap up an emphatic victory.

Stand
in captain Sharon Brady was delighted with the performance,
"The team really gave everything today and our
finishing was very impressive. The defence kept things very
tight and a mention must go to Robson, Symons and Turner who
were so important in achieving a clean sheet".
