MATCH REPORT |
Boughen - Clean Sheet
|
Helen
Richardson and Magda Carr continued their goal
scoring form against Horden Ladies. Carr
scored a hat-trick whilst Richardson went one better and
scored four. At the other end of the pitch Durham's defence
and 'keeper Korraine Boughen kept their third clean sheet in
a row
Other goals came from Sharon
Brady, Amanda Smith and Claire Turner.
Charlton - MOM again
|
Woman of the match again
went to
Durham's Gemma Charlton who turned on the style in the
middle of a muddy Horden pitch. Manager Steve Hamil was
quick to praise the midfielder, "In Gemma we have a
great footballer who is not only very skillfull but is not
afraid to work hard for 90 minutes. Gemma and Julie Campbell
have struck up a great partnership in the middle and I would
back them to give any midfield from the First Division a run
for their money".
Durham travel away to
Penrith next Sunday. Penrith are previously unbeaten and it
should prove to be a very competitive game.
