About Sheila
Sheila has taught mainly R.E. Art and English as a school teacher for around twenty years. In her spare time she has used her love for music, drama and art to help her in her Christian ministry.
She was the joint leader of the Christian folk band The United Folk, that played together for about twenty years and they released three albums. The United Folk were an inter-denominational band of Christian musicians and singers from the North East of England. They performed in a wide variety of settings including churches, concert halls, shopping centres, prisons and schools. The United Folk also had a successful visit to Northern Ireland in the late 1980's. The Best Of United Folk includes sixteen of the group's favourite tracks from the three albums. This was just recently released in October 1999.
Sheila has also released three solo albums; Giving It All To You, Called To Serve and The Easter Story. Extracts from a selection of the songs are available on this website, please click here.
In addition to composing and singing her music, Sheila has also written a number of short Christian sketches and musical performances for children, (more recently 'The Easter Story' which has been written especially for Easter in the new Millennium).
Sheila is happily married to Bob and they have three children, Sarah, Peter and Stephen (who designed this website).
All profit made from all these albums has always gone to charity at home or abroad.
