Durham
City Ladies came away from Boldon with a draw in their
second game in the Northern League Knock Out Cup.

The conditions were not
ideal with a strong wind blowing across the pitch. However,
both teams created chances in an hard fought game.
Boldon took the lead 20
minutes into the game when a well struck shot by Gosling
beat City 'Keeper Kirtlain.

10 minutes later Durham were
back on level terms when Magda Carr beat the offside trap
and calmly slotted the ball home.
The second half saw good
chances for both teams. Boldon captain Mongon struck a
terrific free kick against the bar, whereas at the other end
City's Sharon Brady had her shot tipped onto the Boldon bar.
Durham nearly pinched all three points in the final stages
of the game but a great double save from the Boldon 'keeper
denied first Amanda Smith and then Helen Richardson.
