Durham
City Ladies travelled to Middlesbrough to play Kader in the
Northern League 1st Divsion.
Campbell - Captain
|
Manager Stephen Hamil was
forced to make four changes due to various players being
unavailable. City's Julie Campbell started as Captain in the
absence of Dionne Martens.
Kader started very
impressively forcing Durham to defend for the first twenty
minutes. The home team then took a deserved lead when Burnia
flicked a header into the City net. Durham then picked up
their game and Vicky Collier was unfortunate to see her shot
come back off the inside of the post.
Charlton - WOM
|
Kader probably deserved their
victory as they pushed on in the second half. City came
close to an equaliser with chances for Magda Carr and the
hard working Gemma Charlton. However the game was going
Kader's way and they wrapped up the points when O' Brien
drilled a right footed effort into the corner of the City
goal.
