Helen Richardson opened the scoring when she went clean through and netted for City. But then it was Julie Campbell who was the star of the show. Campbell netted an excellent first half hat-trick, the first two of her goals from headers.

Saltburn were put on the rack further in the second half as City scored 5 goals in an amazing 10 minute spell. Campbell was on target with an another 3 goals to take her total to 6. Richardson then completed her hat-trick with some equally clinical finishing.

Vicky Collier, making her first ever start for Durham, contributed with two further goals and then Lenny Gressmann scored with a late effort to make the final score 12-0.

City Manager Stephen Hamil was full of praise for Julie Campbell, "It is not often you hear of anyone scoring six goals in a game of football, but to score six from midfield is quite an achievement"
