City Ladies were beaten 6-3 away to a strong Killingworth
side.

Durham competed well for
the first 30 minutes. City thought they had taken the lead
early on but Emma Legget's goal was disallowed for offside.
City went one goal down,
but bravely battled back through a Julie Campbell penalty
and Helen Richardson turn and shot.
Durham could have gone
further in front when Campbell hit the crossbar, City also
had a penalty appeal turned down when it appeared that
Amanda Smith had been fouled in the box.
However, at the other end
Killingworth were causing Durham no end of problems and
their brave defence finally folded in the last 10 minutes of
the first half letting in 4 quick goals.

With the score at 5-2 at
half time it appeared that Killingworth were ready to hammer
home a few more goals, but Durham rallied in the second half
coming close on a number of occasions. Killingworth added
one to their total. City got a late third goal when Gemma
Charlton headed home an Emma Leggett cross.
