You've created the best web site in the world (better than WebGeordie!). But nobody knows about it. How do you advertise it? Search Engines Search engines (altavista, yahoo, lycos, ask jeeves, savvy, google etc.) work in two different ways. You register your site - You find the option at the search engine which allows you to submit your site details. Include meta-data - After the <head> tag of your source code include something similar to the following... <HEAD>

Web Rings Web rings are created for people with similar interests. You basically advertise each others sites. Click here for further information. Swap URL's Find another site with a similar interest and agree to advertise their site if they do the same with yours. Traditional Advertise your site in the local paper, on t-shirts, on the front of your local football team's shirts... however, for a 30 second advert during the American Football Superbowl you will get little change from 1.5 million pounds.
